About

Kaitlyn Steffen

MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

I am an ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, graduating year of 2021.

My role is different from that of a therapist, and I often recommend that clients work with a dedicated therapist alongside our work together to ensure well-rounded and comprehensive care. I offer psychiatric assessments, diagnostic clarification, and medication management for a range of mental health concerns.

I am especially passionate about supporting the neurodivergent community and enjoy working with people navigating autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and identity exploration.

My goal is to provide a space where you feel genuinely heard, validated, and understood, especially if past experiences in care have felt dismissive or invalidating. My approach is collaborative, approachable, and firmly rooted in a neurodiverse-affirming philosophy.

My goal is to ensure your voice is not only heard but deeply understood.

Meet Odie (seen on the left), our therapy dog and lover of the finer things in life! From gourmet treats and sunny naps to car rides with the windows down, Odie has mastered the art of self-care. His therapy specialty? Rejection Sensitivity Therapy, because no one knows how to handle not getting that extra treat quite like him!

And on the right, we have his little brother Tobi, a therapy dog-in-training with boundless energy and a passion for chasing anything that moves. Tobi is still learning the ropes but brings a playful spirit to the team, reminding us all to embrace life’s joy, even if you’re still figuring it out! Together, Odie and Tobi bring love, laughter, and a whole lot of wagging tails to every session.
