Kaitlyn Steffen

I am an ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2021. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I am committed to diagnosing and treating individuals across the lifespan, with a particular passion for working with children, young adults, and neurodivergent individuals. I have a special interest in the autism spectrum, as well as those experiencing trauma, depression, and ADHD. I believe in a collaborative, trauma informed, and neurodiversity-affirming approach, grounded in holistic care tailored to each person’s unique needs. I aim to empower you by fostering self-awareness, resilience, and coping skills, recognizing that personal growth is a journey that unfolds at its own pace.
My goal is to ensure your voice is not only heard but deeply understood.
Meet Odie (seen on the left), our therapy dog and lover of the finer things in life! From gourmet treats and sunny naps to car rides with the windows down, Odie has mastered the art of self-care. His therapy specialty? Rejection Sensitivity Therapy—because no one knows how to handle not getting that extra treat quite like him!
And on the right, we have his little brother Tobi, a therapy dog-in-training with boundless energy and a passion for chasing anything that moves. Tobi is still learning the ropes but brings a playful spirit to the team, reminding us all to embrace life’s joy—even if you’re still figuring it out! Together, Odie and Tobi bring love, laughter, and a whole lot of wagging tails to every session.
